We'd like to welcome you to the Pennsylvania State affiliate of Americans Against Horse Slaughter. As we approach the beginning of the 111th Congress, we are very optimistic that this will be the year that we end horse slaughter and the transportation to horse slaughter in this country.
Shortly, we will be posting the names and contact information of your Senators and Representatives along with ideas of how you can help.
For those of you who are just learning about horse slaughter, please go to www.americansagainsthorseslaughter.com where you will find a lot of useful information as well as links to bring you up to date on where we stand. You can also become a member and hopefully, join us in this very important mission.
Thank you for visiting us and please stop back often.

Great Blog!!
We're behind you PA! Let's end horse slaughter together!!
Count the Congressmen who have supported legislation to end horse slaughter and make sure they are kept in office at the next election. Those of us against horse slaughter have neglected to do that and not just in PA with Curt Weldin but also a great leader in NY, John Sweeney. He was one of the most outspoken leaders against horse slaughter and those of us who claim to be against slaughter did little to nothing to keep him in office. In PA we've replaced Santorum who said he would consider cosponsoring if enough constituents requested his support, with Casey who said he is not willing to cosponsor because of the Ag people. Now we elect a president who owns 0 pets and had to be talked into cosponsoring anti slaughter legislation and drug his feet instead of one that was one of the first to cosponsor and owns 20 pets. I see why we aren't winning, because we don't make this issue important enough to vote it. Then there are actually people who endorsed Obama, a non pet owning, dragging his foot to cosponsor over McCain who clearly would have pushed the anti slaughter bill through because his hearts in it.
